At the moment in the settlements in the Municipality of Novo Selo there are many dirt streets which due to their current condition make the movement of the population difficult and their connection with the rest of the municipality. Such is the case with the settlement of Samoilovo, where the current situation is quite unfavorable. The dirt streets, which are the subject of this proposed project and need to be reconstructed, during heavy rain or snow they turn into muddy terrains that further complicate the movement and connection of the population. This leads to constant erosion and a constant need to fill the remaining holes with even more soil. In the warm periods of the year, the dirt streets are quite dry and when moving motor vehicles or when the wind blows, conditions are created for lifting and blowing large dust deposits, which pollutes the air of families living directly on these streets. According to the Decision on determining the areas with specific development needs in the Republic of Northern Macedonia in the period 2020 - 2024 ("Official Gazette of RSM" no. 263/19) the settlement Samoilovo, Municipality of Novo Selo is defined as a "rural area" and belongs in List no. 1 of the decision. This project proposal refers to the reconstruction of existing streets (Street 1 and Street 2) in the settlement of Samoilovo, Municipality of Novo Selo. The streets in question cover a total length of 404.9 meters or separately Street 1 with a length of 138.3m and Street 2 with a length of 266.6m. The total population in Samoilovo, according to the 2002 census, is 348 inhabitants (179 men and 169 women). Direct beneficiaries of the project results are about 120 inhabitants, which represents 34.5% of the total population of the village. Samoilovo. The streets in question have been in use for many years and they do not have a proper road construction, ie the existing streets are dirt. Due to the poor condition of the streets in question and their impact on traffic safety, as well as the safety of residents, the need for reconstruction of these streets is imposed. The streets in question, which are part of this project proposal, were selected as priority by the population at a meeting with the mayor held within the local community of the village. Samoilovo (local communities still exist and function at the local level, although they are no longer legal entities). Reconstruction of the street is important from several aspects, including the health and safety of residents living in the immediate vicinity as well as from an agricultural point of view, by solving the above problems will directly affect the stimulation of agricultural production and increase safety when cultivating agricultural land.
