PROJECT DETAILS

At the locality Svilanovo, v. Rajcani, municipality of Kocani, in an unequal fight with the Osanli army, the President of the Krushevo Republic, Nikola Karev, was killed. Until a few years ago, there was no monument on the spot for this important revolutionary in Macedonian history. A few years ago, only a memorial plaque was built, but the terrain around the memorial plaque is not tidy. The plaque itself has been partially damaged by unscrupulous citizens. With the realization of this project, a memorial will be built which will be representative of the greatness of the National Hero Nikola Karev. This memorial will allow in a dignified way to mark the day of his death as well as all other events related to the character and work of Nikola Karev. It will also contribute to the development of tourism by the fact that tourists will be able to go to a beautifully landscaped area. In this place it will be possible to perform classes in nature where the Macedonian history and the meaning of Nikola Karev can be presented.
