In the municipality of Dolneni every year for the past 42 years is held the International Festival of Folk Dances and Dances "Pece Atanasovski", which is attended by representatives of the folklore from many different countries and is visited by a large number of domestic and foreign tourists. The festival is organized in the form of a competition that promotes folklore, traditional folklore and folk art from around the world, and that contributes to placing this festival on the world map of events in this field in the world of folklore and thus growing attendance from year to year. In the past period, infrastructural interventions were made in the open space where the festival is held, which enabled an increase in the number of participants and visitors to this festival. This event attracts more than 10,000 tourists and visitors to the event itself as well as in the region, thus further accelerating the cooperation and contributing to the development of the value chain in the region with local suppliers and service providers. In order for the festival to continue to grow, additional interventions and improvements of the regional capacities are needed for implementation of activities that directly or indirectly contribute to the improvement of the economic development, by taking advantage of the competitive advantages of the region. The implementation of this project will provide a closed space, with modern conditions where this festival can be held, which is traditionally held outdoors in a place called Rudina municipality of Dolneni. One of the problems targeted through this project is that many times in the past and quite often in recent years due to bad weather, the entire festival organization had to be relocated indoors in the House of Culture "Marko Cepenkov" in Prilep, with which, although it remains to be maintained in the region, still loses its identity, and thus its economic benefits. With the reconstruction of the closed space, specifically with the intervention of the damaged walls, floors and ceilings, with the renovation of the stage / stage space, with the replacement of all the doors, installation of tables and chairs, installation of an external ramp for entry of persons with disabilities, and other interventions , optimal conditions will be created for smooth organization and enjoyment of the international festival "Pece Atanasovski", which has great regional and national significance, as well as for various events, performances, cinema screenings and other events for the population of Pelagonija region, and mostly for the inhabitants places and municipalities that gravitate around the settlement of Dolneni.
