This project is about developing a specialised online counselling platform designed to address specific needs of expatriates from North Macedonia. THE IDEA Moving abroad can be a challenging emotional and psychological process. In the new expatriate environments selfcare and mental health are number one on the list of priorities of citizens (most our expats choose developed western countries as their new home) . Facing that cultural shock, our expats find it difficult to find psychological consultations; usually there are waiting lists of up to a year. More importantly, it is difficult to talk or follow trainings in another language when it comes to mental health; thinking on how to express emotions in another language weakens their intensity and affects subconsciously the sincerity and awareness in presenting the real picture. Also, during the adjustment period, the financial burden and work/life obligations act as additional obstacle for acquiring high quality mental health help. Our specialized virtual platform provides an elegant, one-stop solution for expats that overcomes all of the above listed obstacles. OBJECTIVES • Develop a user-friendly, secure, and reliable online platform for psychological counseling services, tailored for expats from North Macedonia • Connect expats, particularly North Macedonian expats, with qualified mental health professionals experienced in cross-cultural counseling • Offer a variety of counseling options, including individual, group, and couples therapy • Provide accessible and affordable counseling services to expats across the globe • Foster a supportive community for North Macedonian expats, seeking mental health support and resources
