PROJECT DETAILS

With the project for the reconstruction of the sidewalks along Boris Kidrić Street in Berovo, from the intersection with Veljko Vlahovich and Yuri Gagarin streets to the intersection with Gotse Delchev Street, 420 meters of sidewalks will be built. Due to the current condition of the street where there are almost no sidewalks, that is they are earthed or paved, which impairs traffic safety and security the need to reconstruct the sidewalks is imposed on pedestrians, without disturbing the original condition in its entirety. The sidewalks in question on Boris Kidrić Street are located in the territory of the city of Berovo and stretch on one of the busiest streets in the city. The current condition of the street, where the sidewalks are almost non-existent, i.e. they are dirt or paved, which impairs traffic safety and pedestrian safety, imposes the need to reconstruct the sidewalks and arrange them within the existing condition. After a field inspection of the street, it was established that the sidewalks, as seen stationary on the left side are dirt roads, while on the right side are the roadway and the sidewalk are separated by greenery and partly paved on them. Sidewalk width (right) 2.0 m and sidewalk width (left) 2.0 m while the green width is variable along the street and for the planned reconstruction route. The following construction is planned for the sidewalks: paver elements (behaton) 6 cm, sand substrate 5 cm and buffer layer of crushed stone 25 cm. Boris Kidrić Street in Berovo is an entrance street from the Stumica-Berovo road and connects the city with the four settlements Dvorište, Ratevo, Rusinovo and Vladimirovo. The street is the entrance artery of the city and the improvement of the infrastructure will significantly affect the improvement of the safety and security of the participants in the traffic, especially the pedestrians.
