COORDINATION SYSTEM IN PLANNING, IMPLEMENTATION, MONITORING AND EVALUATION OF POLICY FOR BALANCED REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Reconstruction of the ground floor arrangement with the installation of urban equipment in the courtyard of the center of culture in Stojakovo, phase 1 - Ground floor arrangement

PROJECT DETAILS

The young population in the municipality of Bogdanci counts 15% of the population, and the situation in Stojakovo is very similar. According to the study on Youth Trends in Macedonia, half of the young people (50%) aged 15-29 years do not play sports and do not practice any physical activity, and a large part of children up to the age of 14 in rural areas do not have adequate space and props for playing and entertainment. Only 1% of young people are professionally engaged in sports, 7% play sports as amateurs, that is, they are members of clubs, attend regular trainings and/or participate in competitions, and 42% play sports recreationally or practice physical activity as a hobby. On average, young people devote 2 to 4 hours a week to sports (professional, amateur and recreational), or expressed in percentages: up to 1 hour – 31.1%; from 2 to 4 hours – 46.8%; from 5 to 7 hours – 14.5%; over 7 hours – 7.7%. Adequate infrastructure/spaces for fun and recreational sports are one of the barriers that prevent young people, especially children, from playing sports and playing safely. In Stojakovo, at the moment we do not have a properly equipped outdoor sports corner that will cover alluring activities for young people, for children there is a children's playground where most of the toys are old, unsuitable or broken, and it is located in the yard of the restaurant and does not allow for a suitable and safe stay to the users. The youth in Stojakovo: - they have nothing but coffee shops, so they fill them up regularly - they don't have space for physical activity - they have no opportunities for recreation - have a lack of spaces for entertainment Children (and their parents/grandparents) in Stojakovo: - they don't have a safe space to play and have fun -they don't have new modern toys - they do not have adequate space for socializing and socializing We believe that with the realization of this project, the integration of young people and their proper physical and mental development will be enabled, including children with their needs for play and entertainment. In addition to the youth and children, the space will be suitable for use by other age groups and, if necessary, by persons with special needs. The proposed solution involves arranging the space around the House of Culture in Stojakovo, where in the first phase it is planned to create conditions for the installation of appropriate urban, children's and sports equipment by arranging the space by removing the old retaining wall, which is about to collapse and poses a danger for the citizens, construction of a new wall, suitable paths, parking space and green areas.
