The settlement of Nova Maala is located in the territory of the Municipality of Vasilevo, between the settlements of Dobroshinci and Canaklia. According to the census, 823 inhabitants live in this settlement, of which 679 are Macedonians and 142 Turks. In the village there is a House of Culture in which various gatherings are held, and in the house there is also a sports hall which is also used for various larger events and sports competitions. This hall also serves the students who study in the OU "Atanas Nivicanski", which currently has 390 students from Nova Maala as well as from the surrounding villages, who use it to hold physical education classes, as well as to hold sports competitions. At the moment, the courtyard of the House of Culture itself is not arranged and is in an earthy condition. On the one hand, the residents of the village, students and all visitors to the center of culture and the sports hall pass that road in the dust until they get inside, and on the other hand, the exterior gives a bad image of the center of culture as a place that is a gathering place and a center of cultural and sports events in the village.
