In the microregion of the municipalities of Krushevo, Demir Hisar and Resen, both geographically and economically and socially connected, over 30,000 inhabitants live in slightly more than 100 settlements. In these municipalities, in the winter during the period of low temperatures, there is often the occurrence of frost and heavy snowfall, which increases the danger of hindering the movement of pedestrians and the flow of traffic on public areas, sidewalks, streets and roads. This implies the need for regular cleaning of snow from communal infrastructure facilities, public areas, local streets and roads. The winter maintenance of the local streets and roads is carried out in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Public Roads, the Law on Road Traffic Safety, the Law on Public Cleanliness, the Law on Protection and Rescue and the Law on Crisis Management and accordingly, the municipality adopts a Program for winter maintenance of local streets and roads. As direct participants in the maintenance of public traffic areas in the municipalities, PUCs draw up a plan/program for maintenance in winter conditions, which they cannot implement without the appropriate equipment and mechanization.
