COORDINATION SYSTEM IN PLANNING, IMPLEMENTATION, MONITORING AND EVALUATION OF POLICY FOR BALANCED REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Improvement of living conditions in Sveta village, Demir Hisar municipality through street reconstruction
PROJECT DETAILS
The main problem faced by the citizens of the village of Sveta is traffic safety due to the damaged and dilapidated paved streets in the village. During the reconstruction of the water supply network in the village of Sveta in 2001, a part of the asphalt road was removed due to the excavation of a trench for the purpose of laying water pipes, but the road did not return to its original state. In the past 19 years, atmospheric influences (especially rain) caused greater erosion of the ground where the asphalt roadway was removed and bigger depressions appeared. Also, due to atmospheric influences and the wear and tear of the asphalt pavement, there are potholes. Due to the configuration of the terrain around the streets, stormwater flows along almost the entire length of the streets. Because of the above, passenger and pedestrian traffic is taking place with great difficulty. The reconstruction of the streets will improve the safety of road and pedestrian traffic, The costs of ongoing maintenance of vehicles and streets will be reduced.
