Tourist attractions such as clean nature, beautiful river landscapes, panoramic views, clean air are prerequisites for the development of potential types of tourism with special emphasis on sports-recreational and trekking tourism with a recommendation that is determined in all planning documents for arranging and building hiking, cycling, trekking and hiking trails. Although the river Bregalnica has a great tourist potential, despite the excellent preconditions it is not used at all in terms of tourism development. According to previous analyzes, the flow along the river and its surroundings can attract a significant number of tourists and provide solid funds for the development of tourism. There are ideal conditions for sports and recreation. Exactly because of these huge existing and untapped potentials, the Eastern region decided to start with the realization of a series of projects for development of sports and recreational tourism in the region. The project envisages:  Arrangement and construction of a pedestrian-bicycle path along the river Bregalnica with a total length of 1060 meters;  Installation of urban equipment along the path (31 Benches for rest and 29 trash cans);  Lighting of the track, installation of 49 electric poles with energy efficient LED lamps  Arrangement of a children's playground with an area of ​​100 m2. At the moment, the level of development of sports and recreational tourism is at a very low level. Because of this, all project partners and stakeholders agree that it is necessary to take steps and stimulate the construction of tourism infrastructure. construction and arrangement of the coastal attractive zones along the river Bregalnica. These measures will directly contribute to increasing the attractiveness of the region, attracting and most importantly retaining visitors.
