Within the project of two public institutions, the regional market in Prilep and the regional Daily Center for persons with cerebral palsy will be installed photovoltaic modules for production of electricity from renewable sources with a capacity of 15 - 16 kW that will produce green electricity to cover the daily needs of these two public institutions. The regional market in Prilep and the Regional Day Care Center for people with cerebral palsy have a need and obligation to reduce electricity costs and create green energy. The produced kWh of electricity from a renewable source will be used during the working process for their own needs by storing in a battery bank during the day or night. According to the official data of the Photovoltaic GIS system, the municipality of Prilep and the surrounding area have an average annual irradiation of 1,700 kW / m2 which is a huge natural resource that is not used at all. The photovoltaic modules will be placed on the roof structures on the regional market in Prilep and the regional Daily Center for persons with cerebral palsy, respectively, placed to the south. In accordance with the daily needs, 104 modules of 265 W will be placed on the regional market and 56 modules of 280 W on the regional Day Center. The system provides PV modules placed on a fixed metal structure, inverter, battery bank, AC / DC cabinet with automation, solar cable, connectors and channels. On the regional market will be placed the so-called. off grid system dimensioned according to the electricity bills of this institution during one year. The produced green energy will be used for the needs of the market throughout the day, ie 24 hours. During the day the energy will be used for the needs of the administrative building, lighting, cooling, heating, computers and lighting on the market, and in the evening mostly to provide night lighting on the market. The produced energy will not be handed over or sold to an electricity distributor (s). The Regional Day Care Center will have a grid connected system which indicates that it will consume the produced green electricity for its own needs only during the day. The regional market will have an expected annual production of green energy of about 37,400 kWh of electricity, ie reduction of CO2 emissions in the air by 36,000 kg. The Regional Daily Center will have an expected annual production of green energy of about 20,300 kWh of electricity, ie reduction of CO2 emissions in the air of the Pelagonija region by 19,800 kg. In conditions of unchanged price of electricity, the return on investment in the off grid system would be about 8 years and at the regional Day Center would be 4.5 years. The full utilization of the newly produced green energy will contribute to the reduction of electricity bills by about 140,000 MKD per year on the regional market and at least 100.00 MKD on the regional Daily Center.
