Road transport and infrastructure in the Southeast Planning Region play a key role in economic development, increasing the number of tourists in the region, improving communication between citizens of the surrounding settlements, farmers' access to their fields and large markets and developing modern and functional infrastructure, as well as the living standard of the population as a whole. Regional roads provide access to the main road corridors and the main road network and together with local roads are of great importance for the development of the local economy, attracting new investments, small businesses and agricultural activities throughout the country. Road infrastructure is well developed in the Southeast region, although there are conditions for its improvement. The length and quality of the local road infrastructure are satisfactory and are not below European standards. The trend of increasing the length of asphalt roads is positive. However, it is necessary to modernize the existing and build new road infrastructure, especially between the settlements in the municipalities and between the municipalities. Exactly this project envisages modernization and renewal of the road infrastructure between the settlements of the village. Prosenikovo, Fr. Strumica and the village Saraj, oh. Bosilovo through the construction of a bridge on the river Turija on this road. The village of Prosenikovo is located in the municipality of Strumica and is 4 km away from the city. The altitude in the village is 226 meters, and the area of ​​the village is 507 ha. The village borders the villages of Dobrejci, Piperovo, Dabile, Canaklija and Saraj. While the village of Saraj is located in the western part of the municipality of Bosilovo. To the right of the village passes the river Strumica, and only two kilometers passes the road Strumica-Berovo. The altitude in the village is 230 meters, while the village covers an area of ​​36 km2. Of these, 3251 hectares are arable agricultural land. The road v. Prosenikovo - v. Saraj is in a flat area and passes through the river Turija. At the moment, the communication between these two villages is taking place through a temporary solution - a bridge (pipe culverts) which does not meet either the traffic or safety criteria, because the bridge that was previously built was taken away by the flood in 2013. With the arrival of bigger atmospheric waters, the previously mentioned omission can be completely destroyed and there will be an interruption in the traffic communication between the municipality of Strumica, the municipality of Bosilovo and the municipality of Vasilevo. As a large part of the population in this area is engaged in agriculture, the access of the farmers to their crops is difficult, as well as to the purchase centers. This project envisages the construction of a modern infrastructure facility - a bridge with a width of 6 meters of road construction and 2 x 1.0 meters of sidewalk intended for pedestrian traffic. The length of the bridge will be 24.6 meters, and the total length together with the access roads from both sides of the bridge will be 215 meters. The bridge is planned to be 3 meters higher than the previous one, which would prevent it from being taken again if the level of the Turija River rises during heavy rains. The construction of this bridge will improve the traffic communication between the citizens of the settlements Prosenikovo and Saraj, which together have about 625 households or about 2500 inhabitants and will enable safer transport of passengers and goods. The bridge will enable to reduce the travel time of the inhabitants from the municipality of Vasilevo through the municipality of Bosilovo to the municipality of Novo Selo, ie the regional road to the border with R. Bulgaria. Because the facility itself is located at the crossroads between the three municipalities, which are large producers of early vegetables and other crops, the farmers themselves will be able to reach their fields faster and safer, as well as the purchase centers in the region. It will be possible to reduce the transport costs of agricultural products and improve the quality of products. The construction of the bridge on the river Turija between the villages Prosenikovo and Saraj will enable renewal and modernization of the road infrastructure in the Southeast planning region and improve the living conditions of all citizens in the region, and will enable greater economic development of the region.
