Technical. The equipment of the Territorial Firefighting Unit of the Municipality of Bitola is in a significantly bad condition, hence the need for procurement of new modern firefighting equipment according to European standards. The very fact that TPPE of the municipality of Bitola operates on the territory of the municipalities of Novaci and Mogila due to lack of its own fire services, the project itself acquires great regional importance for the inhabitants of the Pelagonija region. The outdated and worn out equipment available to the Firefighting Unit of the Municipality of Bitola, reduces the effectiveness and efficiency in dealing with fires, traffic accidents and other unwanted accidents where there is a need for TPPE Bitola to act. The obsolescence of the entire equipment of TPPE Bitola, especially the obsolescence of the vehicles that are in running condition, represent an additional cost of the municipality of Bitola. By increasing the safety and protection from fires and accidents, the quality of life of the population in the municipalities of Bitola, Novaci and Resen will be greatly improved, because it will reduce the costs incurred by fire owners of apartments, houses, properties and industrial facilities, and the risk of an increase in casualties will also be reduced. The project has a strong impact on the environment and biodiversity in a way that will greatly contribute to the prevention and protection of fires that can disrupt the overall ecosystem. With the procurement of equipment and firefighting vehicle, fires will be prevented in a timely and quality manner, thus reducing damage to forest and agricultural areas, which will enable better and better use of natural resources. The target group / beneficiaries of the project is the population of the municipalities: Bitola, Novaci and Mogila as well as the population of the entire Pelagonija region because in cases when large fires occur, the territorial firefighting unit intervenes where necessary. The needs and requirements of the target group arise from the need for professional, quality and timely fire protection of the environment, properties (residential buildings), agricultural areas and industrial facilities. The number of direct beneficiaries of the results of this project are more than 105,644 inhabitants in the municipalities of Bitola, Novaci and Mogila as well as other inhabitants in the Pelagonija planning region.
