Territorial firefighting units (TPPE) in Bitola, Prilep and Resen are in alarming condition in terms of their technical equipment and there is a need to purchase new modern firefighting equipment and in addition the Territorial Firefighting Unit of the Municipality of Bitola due to the lack of firefighting fire units or stations in the municipalities of Mogila and Novaci, TPPE Bitola operates on the territory of these two municipalities. The project is of great regional importance, ie the results of the implementation will have an unequivocal impact in solving the problems of the territories in several municipalities in the Pelagonija region. Outdated and obsolete equipment in these three firefighting units reduces the efficiency and effectiveness in dealing with fires, traffic accidents and other accidents. With the implementation of this project, the territorial firefighting units will be equipped with a sufficient number of life-saving suits and one firefighting vehicle in relation to the number of annual interventions of the firefighting units and residents living in the municipalities. By increasing the safety and protection from fire and accidents, the quality of life of the population will be significantly improved because it will reduce the costs incurred by fire owners of apartments, houses, properties and industrial facilities and thus will reduce the number of casualties. The project has a strong impact on the protection of the environment and nature, especially since the prevention and prevention of fires can disrupt the entire ecosystem. With the procurement of equipment and firefighting vehicle, fires will be prevented in a timely and quality manner, thus reducing the damage to forest and agricultural areas, which will enable better and better use of natural resources. The target group / beneficiaries of the project is the population from the municipalities: Bitola, Prilep, Resen, Novaci, Mogila as well as the population from the entire Pelagonija region, because in cases of large-scale fires the territorial firefighting unit intervenes where necessary. The needs and requirements of the target group arise from the need for professional, quality and timely fire protection of property (residential buildings), agricultural land and industrial facilities. The number of direct beneficiaries of the results of this project are more than 188,000 inhabitants in the municipalities of Bitola, Prilep and Resen as well as the other 50,000 inhabitants in the Pelagonija planning region.
