COORDINATION SYSTEM IN PLANNING, IMPLEMENTATION, MONITORING AND EVALUATION OF POLICY FOR BALANCED REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Preparation of technical documentation for construction of a pedestrian path to the school in the village. Draslajca
PROJECT DETAILS
The village of Draslajca is located north of the city of Struga, 6 km away and has a population of about 1200 inhabitants. The village of Draslajca is connected to a regional road that connects 7 more settlements with the city of Struga. At the beginning of the project area is an industrial zone located at the place called Moroish Bridge, which houses more than 30 businesses that employ about 1000 people. Also at the beginning of the village is the primary school which is a big problem for the students who have to move from the end of the village to the school which is 1.7 km away. Due to the regional character of the road and the width of the road of 5 meters, on this section there is a significant traffic load (vehicles and agricultural machinery) and driving at high speed which increases the risk of accidents in the settlement. The movement of primary school students in the villages of Draslajca is especially dangerous because there are irrigation canals along the road, which makes student pedestrians completely unsafe on this high-frequency road. The village of Draslajca is located on both sides of the regional road, and at the moment on this section there is no pedestrian path on which the inhabitants of the settlement and the employees of the industrial zone can move safely. Access to the school is by regional road gravitate about 10 villages with about 10,000 inhabitants. Traffic accidents with human casualties occur on this road every year.
