PROJECT DETAILS

The goal of the project is to raise public awareness about the protection of the environment and natural resources, building and promoting cooperation between the local population of Bulgaria and RS. Macedonia, through the synchronization of local community capacities for understanding and rational management of mountain ecosystems, resources and services offered. During the implementation of the project, an international seminar on "Raising awareness and readiness for cooperation in building capacities for better management of natural resources" was held. The new framework of the project also prepared an Analysis of the impact of climate change and land use on the resources and services of mountain ecosystems in the transboundary region, and a long-term strategy was developed to strengthen the integration of the concept of ecosystem services in the network of protected areas and territorial development in the mountainous areas.
