The municipality of Caska covers an area of ​​825 km2 with a total of 42 settlements. We belong to the Vardar planning region. Caska is the geographical center of the Republic of Northern Macedonia, third in territory, the largest municipality in the country. The region is characterized by hills, mountains, ie Jakupica, Dautica, Karadzica, Goleshnica and Kitka. The highest peak Solunska Glava in 2539. According to the census, in 2002 we had 7673 inhabitants, of which 4017 men and 3656 women. According to the "Population Estimates NTES 2007" as of 31.12.2015, we have a total of 8003 inhabitants, of which 4237 men and 3766 women. We are proud that the number of inhabitants is growing and we are committed to improving the quality of life in all settlements in order to keep the population in their native places. The local self-government Caska has an activity in accordance with the Law on Local Self-Government, as well as the other laws with a Statute to regulate and perform the activities of public interest that have local significance. We are the founders of the Public Utility Company TOPOLKA in Caska, which is the sole provider of utility services (water supply and collection, transport and disposal of waste through organized waste management at the municipal landfill Rakovec. "Topolka" today has a total of 23 employees, of which 21 men and 2 women. They are available with two specialized vehicles, one of which is not in running condition and 4 tractors. One tractor is in the villages of Gorno Jabolciste and Dolno Jabolciste, from where the waste is collected twice a week during the week. One is in Izvor, which is functional in high places inaccessible to specialized vehicles, and one day a week collects municipal waste from the settlement. The other two collect waste from the Caska Settlement. In 2018 and 2019, we procured a specialized vehicle for collecting municipal waste, metal containers and bins for households. For the first time, municipal waste collection was established from Gorno Jabolciste and Dolno Jabolciste where we have 3500 inhabitants, ie today we have 400 household users. The large territorial area and high settlements are a prerequisite for the purchase of a new tractor vehicle that will serve in the settlements Bogomila, Oreshe, Papradishte with additional equipment (trailer, snow plow, solarium) as well as household bins. Bogomila we have high places where the specialized vehicle can not serve the residents. We currently have 400 users from Bogomila, as well as 40 users from Papradishte Papradishte is a mountainous place ideal for the development of tourism and nature lovers. The vehicle will establish waste collection in Oreшеe for the first time in 2021. Namely, 218 inhabitants will have the opportunity to be part of an integrated waste collection in order to establish the service and improve their lives. Oreшеe, Papradishte are the settlements where during a pandemic, I have an increased number of temporary stays, especially for adults who have their guaranteed income, pension and spend their retirement days in nature. Oreshe has a precondition for the development of alternative or monastery tourism with the existence and functioning of the monastery of St. George as well as the recognized Oreshki waterfalls. The mountain lodge Papradishte is actively functioning in Papradishte, and the landmark of the village is the church of St. Peter and Paul, built by Andreja Damjanov. Nature lovers often take mountaineering tours to Cheples, as well as the springs of the Babuna River. The local road infrastructure in the length of 126 km is an urgent need to increase the number of vehicles with municipal waste collection, which will be performed simultaneously waste collection. It will contribute to environmental protection in settlements. Oreshe and Papradishte are carriers of alternative tourism. At the moment in Papradishte we have only two containers, with the purchase of 40 bins for households will contribute to environmental protection. Procurement of 60 household bins for Oreшеe will establish for the first time organized collection of municipal waste for 28 inhabitants The tractor, in addition to collecting municipal waste during the winter period where snow is present for a long time with equipment (knife for cleaning snow and solarium) will provide safe cleaning or access to settlements.
