PROJECT DETAILS

The main goal of the project is to improve the availability of preserved natural heritage and values ​​in the municipalities of Kyustendil and Konce, in order to use the potential of these environmental resources for balanced tourism development on both sides of the border. Project activities include: improving car access and parking near the natural attraction zone and improving pedestrian access to the waterfall "Poland Skakavica" - through the reconstruction of the municipal rural road, construction of eco trails and places for rest and observation in the Municipality of Kyustendil and construction of an ecological tourist zone through the installation of urban equipment for the tourist settlement "Mantovo" through the construction of eco-trails and places for rest and observation in the Municipality of Konce; conducting thematic workshops "Appropriate treatment of customers" and "Sustainable use of nature and culture for tourism development"; development of a comprehensive study and presentation of the natural potentials for tourism development in the Municipality of Kyustendil; presentation of the cultural and natural tourist potentials of the Municipality of Konce; presentation of the local tradition by local artists from both municipalities - by organizing performances and exhibitions; organizing forums for "Partnership in tourism development" in both municipalities. The favorable natural and ecological characteristics of the area of ​​the cross-border region, offer opportunities for sustainable development of various forms of tourism that will serve for the development of future projects on both sides.
