The project focuses on developing and encouraging cross-border cooperation in the field of rural and festival tourism between public institutions and other stakeholders in the tourism sector by organizing a joint festival, knowledge transfer and experience. The project will also build tolerance and respect for the culture and tradition of different ethnic groups in the two regions. The project has a rather large impact on the joint performance of the common traditional and cultural heritage as a means for sustainable tourism development of the cross-border region by promoting the values ​​of tradition and folklore. The cross-border impact is summarized as follows: Presentation of the mutual cultural and musical folklore heritage; support for cooperation in the field of rural development; Investment support and supply of cultural and festival infrastructure and public facilities. Joint staff and funding, equal participation of team members during the project implementation, participation of tourism companies, NGOs and local government representatives from both countries in the planned project activities, study stay and in the process of preparing a development study of rural tourism in the municipality of Pehchevo will have a direct and significant impact on many of the future activities for cooperation in the field of tourism and culture. The project will also contribute to sustainable development by adding value to tourism products. The presented good practices from rural tourism that will serve as an example for the followers even after the expiration of the project will guarantee the sustainability of the project results.
