PROJECT DETAILS

The project was initiated by both partner municipalities in order to provide better living conditions for citizens by providing energy efficient street lighting. The aim of the project is to ensure efficient use of energy for lighting in 4 villages in the Municipality of Blagoevgrad and 8 settlements in the Municipality of Delchevo and to promote sustainable use of natural resources in the cross-border area through various thematic workshops on "Sustainable use of natural resources "and" environmental protection ". During these workshops, concrete measures for further joint activities in the field of environment will be listed. The main results of the project are: ensured energy efficiency of street lighting in villages in the Municipality of Blagoevgrad - Logodaz, Padesh, Zelen Dol and Pokrovnik - replacement of existing street lighting with new types of LED street lighting and developed intelligent management systems; provided energy efficient use of street lighting in 7 villages of the Municipality of Delchevo (Gabrovo, Zvegor, Razlovci, Virce, Trabotivishte, Stamer) as well as in the city of Delchevo; Provided LED lamps for public lighting - 28 W (600 pieces); Provided LED lamps for public lighting - 60 W (110 pieces); Provided LED lamps for public lighting - 100 W (50 pieces); Conducted a two-day workshop "Sustainable use of natural resources" in Delchevo; conducted a two-day workshop on "Environmental Protection" in Blagoevgrad; The project is designed to have a great multiplier effect and potential for further development, as a starting point for joint action on environmental issues and joint use of natural resources in the field of cross-border cooperation. During the workshops on "Sustainable use of natural resources" and "Environmental protection", specific measures will be outlined for further joint activities in the field of environment.
