PROJECT DETAILS

The aim of FEMTERPRISE is to improve the conditions for business development in the cross-border area by applying an innovative informal approach to strengthen the entrepreneurial capacity of women entrepreneurs aged 18-29 and encourage the creation of social enterprises. FEMTERPRISE will research and identify potential women entrepreneurs, mentors, investors and business opportunities in the cross-border area, support 30 young women to successfully start their own businesses and provide innovative, sustainable solutions to social and environmental issues in the cross-border region by building business, financial and leadership capacities, developing a trilingual FEMTERPRISE online platform, promoting entrepreneurial culture in the region using ICT, impacting at least 3,000 target group representatives and establishing a cross-border FEMTERPRISE network of women entrepreneurs. The project envisages several joint online and offline interventions to raise awareness and promotion, as well as ICT cooperation to exchange new ideas and encourage the creation of new social enterprises in the region. FEMTERPRISE will contribute to improving the competitiveness of regional businesses through: 1) establishing a sustainable cross-border FEMTERPRISE network of women entrepreneurs; 2) strengthening the entrepreneurial capacities and creating opportunities for professional and social realization of the young women entrepreneurs; 3) development of an innovative, sustainable and online tool for capacity building, mentoring and networking among women entrepreneurs, mentors, clients and potential investors from the cross-border region; 4) stimulating the establishment of social enterprises in the region run by women; 5) promoting entrepreneurial culture and social entrepreneurship.
