PROJECT DETAILS

The project aims to improve waste management and prevent pollution in the cross-border area, improving knowledge about the negative impact of improper waste management, consequences for the environment and life. An ambitious project work program is an integrated approach in the field of education, as well as community management actions to eliminate illegal landfills and prevent pollution. This approach will be realized through the development of various tools (WasteEDU Joint Training Program, EduBook "Waste Life Cycle", software mapping and web portal), which can be used in the process of primary education of children and to promote within: various capacity building, training (Joint Green Schools and Camps) and networking events (Discussion Forum and Conference) that will be implemented during the project. The target groups that will be involved in the project are: students, schools, NGOs, associations and other organizations that support environmental initiatives and initiatives for young, small and medium enterprises working in the field of waste management, regional and local governments. As a result of the project, the target groups will be provided with various tools for raising awareness and encouraging the direct involvement and participation of young people in environmental protection campaigns. In addition, the project partners through various promotional and awareness-raising activities will strive to increase the participation of young people in solving problems related to waste reduction, recycling and prevention, as well as their knowledge of the benefits of reduction, recycling and proper waste management.
