PROJECT DETAILS

The aim of the project is to increase public awareness for the protection of the environment and natural resources in the cross-border region by using organic waste from households to create organic fertilizer - compost. With the implementation of the project, a promotional video will be made which will explain and promote the concept of composting (instructions for using the composting containers and the benefits for the households). The video material recorded during the preparation of the promotional video will be used to produce a short TV announcement inviting households in the region interested in applying and receiving composters to be procured through this project. Within the project, brochures will be prepared which will be received by every citizen who will receive a compost, as well as the people who will attend the project events. There will be info days where the citizens who will receive the composters will be trained for their use. The studies that will be carried out within the project will provide information on the composting potentials in the whole cross-border region. Throughout the implementation of the project, the municipalities from both regions will be involved and will be part of the training process, informing about the benefits of composting and distribution of composters among the citizens. This project aims to show that the preservation of the environment is one of the main priorities of the region, the use of organic waste in a way that will not only reduce pollution, but also improve the quality of the soil through the produced organic compost. Raising public awareness and the example to be given to the citizens of the region is the main benefit of this project.
