The project will increase the tourism potential of 2 target cross-border regions in Bulgaria and Macedonia by identifying, promoting and sustainable use of natural and cultural heritage in relevant areas and enhancing cooperation between relevant regional actors in the field of sustainable tourism. The project envisages research on the potential of the two target areas for the development of alternative tourism and to identify the natural and cultural heritage, services and traditions that can increase the tourism potential of the region. A series of three trainings will be organized for the representatives of the target groups; Two tourist cultural fairs will be held in Blagoevgrad (Bulgaria) and Stip (Macedonia). A Guide for Alternative Tourism to the target areas will be compiled and a website will be developed where the identified natural and cultural heritage and services will be posted on an electronic map. At least 40 natural and cultural heritage sites will be identified, and at least 40 alternative services in 2 target areas; the potential of the target areas for the development of alternative tourism studies; 60 representatives of the target groups informed and trained on how to preserve and manage the natural and cultural heritage and how to establish a sustainable business. 2 tourist cultural fairs for gathering of more than 60 key actors organized in Blagoevgrad and Stip; Developed Guide for Alternative Tourism; developed website; final conference for more than 50 representatives of the target groups and key actors in the field of tourism, which will be held in Stip.
