PROJECT DETAILS

The project is intended for health marketing, wellness and sports tourism in the region and among young people in the cities of Blagoevgrad and Kriva Palanka, offering children and children with special physical needs to use various health, wellness and sports facilities. This will be achieved through several activities. By conducting a study of the existing tourist sites, creating preconditions for popularization of the opportunities for tourist exchange among young people. This will be achieved by researching, categorizing and evaluating available tourism resources to help stakeholders better understand the potential of visitor facilities, helping regional actors create attractive programs and directions for future tourists. Emphasizing health and tourism at the same time, a Center for Health and Tourism Network will be established to educate children and children with special physical needs. The center will have medical equipment that will be used for health and tourism purposes for school children on both sides of the border. Trainings and examinations will be conducted to improve the health of young people and at the same time to encourage tourism among the young population in the cross-border region. An open golf course and fitness field will be built, and children's competitions will be held, which will become an annual practice for cooperation between partners. Finally, children and children with special physical needs will participate in seminars in the field of health and tourism organized by the project partners.
